I mean, Dickens was a colossal asshole. we all know this, or should
he blamed his wife Catherine for being “too fertile” when they had ten children rather than the four he’d wanted, and once tried to get her committed to an asylum under false pretenses. he also may have cheated multiple times, and one of the rumored affair partners was her younger sister Georgina (who stayed with Charles and most of the children when he and Catherine separated, whatever else was going on between them)
